In 2017, Gary Wockner traveled to Ecuador, on behalf of the Waterkeeper Alliance, to meet the Chambers family who is protecting the Guayllabamba River in Quito. The Chambers family directs the Guayllabamba Waterkeeper which works to fight pollution in Quito, a very challenging environment. The trip was highlighted in Waterkeeper Magazine, titled, “The Guayllabamba Waterkeeper Family of Quito, Ecuador“.
