FIGHTING AGAINST PROPOSED DAMS

We fight against proposed dams across the planet, as well as support dam removal. We are involved, or supporting efforts, on dozens of rivers in several countries. The world’s rivers are facing a tsunami of new dams, many for hydropower electricity, and some for water supply. Our work involves communicating with the public, the media, decision-makers, and often ultimately with the court system.

We have a team of highly knowledgeable consultants we work with who have experience in hydrology, permitting, policy and politics, wetlands, communications, fundraising, and most importantly the law. Our experience is heavy on U.S. dam fights, but we try to get up to speed quickly in other countries.

For inspiration, watch Patagonia’s “Damnation Film” on Youtube here!
